Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) SR-chirp, which is a spread spectrum scheme with robustness against multipath and interference in low spreading-rate, shows excellent BER performance in severe mobile environment. Based on this scheme, by developing a simple/effective error-correction scheme with low redundancy and an error-resilient scheme of video codec without feed-back control, we've realized mobile transmission of H.261-compressed CIF-size full-rate video. The prototype system has about 800kbps information rate for 1Mbps air rate, and can simultaneously operate in three channels within 26MHz bandwidth of Japan's frequency allocation and regulation. This system, which realizes reliable transmission in mobile environment, is characterized by simple structure without retransmission mechanism.
