Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed a next-generation cellular system for IMT-2000 based on DS-CDMA, and have evaluated its performance in laboratory and field experiments using a developed testbed. This paper reports the performance of a developed path-search scheme using pilot symbols. The experimental result demonstrates that vector addition of correlation values over 6 or 9 pilot symbols are effective for noise suppression when pilot symbols are inserted every 0.625 ms, and path-search can be achieved in 80 ms. Moreover, in path peak detection from a delay profile obtained with 0.25 chip resolution, the path timing selection with 0.75 chip minimum spacing shows the best performance.
