Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The interference signals may have some angular spread at a land mobile communication environment due to scattering and reflecting. So far, the authors have discussed the performance of an adaptive array applied to such an environment, and pointed out that an interference signal with angular spread has the feature of multiple sources. Thus, more degree-of-freedoms (DOFs) are required to effectively suppress the interference signal. In this paper, we apply eigenvalue analysis method to show that such an interference signal can usually be equivalently represented by a source with 2-3 discrete rays. We show in detail the equivalent models for some important cases at the 2-ray case, and the key parameters are discussed. The proposed models are confirmed by simulating the output SINR performance of the adaptive arrays.
