Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The next generation mobile communications systems must support multimedia communications services as well as conventional voice service. DS-CDMA is regarded as the most promissing candidate, because it is indispensable to cope with multimedia. We propose a data traffic control method in systems in which voice calls are served by circuit switching mode, data calls are served by reservation type packet switching mode. The proposed method permits for mobile stations to transmit the queueing data packets when the number of active voice users is small. In this report, the proposed method and mixed voice/data services by circuit switching mode are evaluated and compared on system capacity. It is shown that the proposed method achieves higher system capacity.
