Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The overlay cell system has been widely studied in order to increase the whole system capacity without the degradation of service quality (call blocking probability, force blocking probability, and so on.) in the land mobile communication system. The channel ratio which is assigned to a microcell and macrocell should satisfy the service quality since the channel ratio significantly affects the system performance. Therefore, it is necessary to adapt the channel ratio to satisfy the service quality and traffic fluctuations. This paper proposes that the number of channels be dynamically changed within a microcell and macrocell in order to adapt to the service quality and traffic fluctuations. The proposed system is evaluated using computer simulation.
