Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recently, Mitsunari, Sakai and Kasahara (MSK, for short) proposed a new traitor tracing scheme whose efficiency does not depent on the number of malicious users, while most of all the other former methods did. However, MSK scheme satisfies only the lowest and most basic requirement of traitor tracing, and does not fulfill other standard requirements including functionalities of public-key traitor tracing and black-box traitor tracing. Especially, for constructing practical traitor tracing, these two requirements are considerably important to be achieved. Followed by this work, Mitsunari, Watanabe, Yoshida, Sakai and Kasahara proposed some extensions of MSK scheme, including an extension of which they claimed black-box traitor tracing. However, they did not propose one of the other important extension which is the public-key traitor tracing. In this article, we discuss the security of their MSK scheme with added extension, the one which they claimed to have the black-box traceability, and show that it is insecure. Further, we discuss that it is significantly difficult to extend MSK scheme by adding functionality of black-box traitor tracing. In addition, we propose an extended MSK scheme which provides public-key traitor tracing. |
