Abstract(in English) In the situation that the services to be used Internet with personal computers, cellular phones and portable terminals, have been developed, the Japanese government started up the project of the electronic government system called e-Japan. The information security becomes an important element to protect information because its importance and privacy issues about information managed by the electronic government emerged. To evaluate one of the important technologies of the information security, that is cryptographic technology, we investigate a method of standardized an evaluation of the cryptographic technology attached to cellular phones and portable terminals which are getting popular rapidly, and measured performance of actual cryptographic programs using the method described above.
