Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A study has been made on subscriber loop transmission by frequency hopping spread spectrum modulation. As a frequency hopping modulation system we adopt Parallel FH/M-ary Multilevel FSK system (abb. Parallel MMFSK system) which is considered to has the highest spectral efficiency among existing frequency hopping systems. Major advantage of adopting frequency hopping modulation lies in the robustness to crosstalk didturbances and can extend the transmission bandwidth as high as that limitted by the thermal noise disturbances using very high gain amplifie and can achieve high information rate. Based on the result of error rate analysis on the system relations between obtainable transmission rate and the line length and the transmission power are studied assuming ordinary subscriber cables. Results of study show that proposed FH-DSL system can well compete with existing DSL systems.
