Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes and investigates Space-Time Coding with an adaptive array antenna. This system is coding not in antenna element space but in beam space using an adaptive array antenna. The transmitter is coding and pre-coding in beam space based on the result of estimation. And the receiver is decoding the received signals taking into consideration the correlation among the overlapping beampatterns. Computer simulations are shown, indicating that the proposed system achieves about 0.8 dB enhancement on the SNIR level, under a 10^<-3> BER condition, compared to the conventional Space-Time Coding.
