Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Proxy signature schemes allow one to sign documents on behalf of the original signer. Although the same functionality can be achieved by simply using ordinary signature schemes, it is believed that proxy signature schemes provide more efficient verification than ordinary signature schemes. As shown in previous work, this is true if does not use batch verification, which speeds up verification by veryfying multiple signatures at once. this report shows that the computational advantage is virtually eliminated when we take batch verification into account. The bottom line is that the substamtial advantage of using proxy signatures is a smaller size of the signatures rather than less computation.
