Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In underwater communication where acoustic waves which have low transmission velocity are used, the transmitted signal suffers large intersymbol interference(ISI) and fading due to multipath propagation as well as severe phase shifts due to Doppler shift also. In this paper, we apply per-survivor processing(PSP) to adaptive Viterbi equalizer to overcome phase shifts and an idea of multichannel receiver to overcome ISI and fading. We evaluate the performance of the system for the data obtained from experiments held in the Sagami lake.
