Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The need of electronic sealed-bid auction services with quantitative competition has been increasing. Conventional methods are classified into two groups; an insecure but practical approach and a secure but inefficient approach which limits the number of bidders and its bidding range. This paper proposes a new method and procedure combining one-way functions and a bit commitment technique for quantitative competition. This method can become about one hundred thousand times as efficient as conventional methods, by replacing a public-key scheme with a one-way functionas an operation element.
