Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the previous work, we constructed GU trellis codes using 4AM GPA signal set based on 4AM constellation. However, 4AM GPA signal set allows transmission at at most 1 bit per symbol. In this paper, we proposed M-AM GPA signal sets which could be used for arbitrary transmission rates and give a result of code search based on the new signal sets. There are codes with a high asymptotic coding gain, even higher than non GU codes.
