A Construction of Error-Correcting Code Based on Fixed Length (d,k) Constrained Sequences

Abstract(in English) In digital magnetic recoding systems, there exist insertion/deletion error of a symbol "0" and peak-shift error. Tanaka had proposed constant Lee weight fixed length (d,k) constrained codes which capable to correct these two errors. In this paper, using some methods in above coding processes, we proposed coding method for fixed length (d, k) constrained sequences, each sequences beginning with a symbol "0" and ending in a symbol "1". A codeword of the proposed codes capables to correct above errors. We also show decoding method for the proposed codes. Finally, in (d, k)=(2, 5), (2, 7) constraints, we compare the proposed codes with the conventional ones about codeword length for the number of codewords, respectively, and confirm the effectivity of proposed codes.
