On CDMA Capabilities of the Orthogonal Multicarrier M-ary/SS System

Abstract(in English) In this paper, the spectral efficiency of the orthogonal multicarrier M-ary/SS system is evaluated by theoretical analysis. The orthogonal multicarrier M-ary/SS system is the M-ary/SS system combined with the multicarrier transmission scheme and the time diversity technique. Since the data transmission rate of that system tend to differ from those of the conventional systems, spectral efficiency, which is the CDMA capability considered with the BER performance and the data transmission rate, is evaluated. In this paper, the spectral efficiency and the number of multiple access users keeping a fixed BER=10^<-3> are compared with those of the orthogonal multicarrier DS/SS system and the singlecarrier M-ary/SS system with RAKE receiver in the presence of AWGN, frequency selective fading and partial-band interference. As a result, spectral efficiency of the orthogonal multicarrier M-ary/SS system is better than those of the conventional systems.
