On Improvements of Synchronous Acquisition Methods with Code-Orthogonalizing Filters in DS/CDMA

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we discuss synchronous acquisition methods using code-orthogonalizing filters (COFs) in asynchronous direct sequence (DS)/CDMA and propose novel methods to improve the acquisition performance. In the systems, first, the tap coefficients of COF are controlled to orthogonalize to all users' sequences including the desired users spreading sequence. Next, several probable synchronous phases are selected by using the difference of correlation function value between the tap coefficients and the desired users sequence for each phase. Finally, the most probable synchronous phase is decided from these phases by a conventional precise acquisition system in this paper, considering the above correlation function consists of two partial correlation functions, we propose two methods to select probable phases, and describe them compared with a conventional system. By computer simulations, we show the improvement effects of average acquisition time in proposed systems.
