| Abstract(in English) | This paper reports the first Advance Encryption Standard (AES) Candidates conference held this summer at Vantura, California USA. AES will be published in the Federal Information Processing Standard as an encryption scheme for confidentiality within a few years. Fifteen algorithms are submitted as the AES candidates and five of them will be selected as finalists by the April 1999. After six or nine more months of study period, only one algorithm will be accepted as the AES. |
