Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new 128-bit block cipher E2. In this altorithm, 128-bit, 192-bit, and 256-bit secret key are supported. We use 12-round Feistel structure as a global structure, and 2-round SPN sturucture as a round function. The cipher E2 has practically security against differential and linear cryptanalysis, and excellent flexibility for implementations. That is, with respect to security, it can be proven that the cipher E2 has enough invulnerability against differential and linear cryptanalysis by the practical measures. With respect to flexibility, the cipher E2 can be implemented efficiently on various platforms because E2 primitive operation is byte length processing.
