Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Following the development of Internet trade, Electronic Cash has become a very active area. Since it is first introduced by David Chaum, Amos Fiat and Moni Naor [1], there have been several improvements and constructions. In a general Electronic Cash scheme, each coin has the same value. However in real life, it is inefficient. In this paper we give a new Electronic Cash Scheme that supports variable value. Based on this scheme, we present a concept of "Electronic cash scheme for home shopping". This scheme is based on the scheme introduced by Ferguson [5]. From a practical point of view, our scheme is more efficient and simpler than that of Ferguson's. The concept of the system is similar to the Credit Card system or Electronic Cheque system.
