Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper,we propose an evaluation method for DES- like(involution type)cryptosystems based on differential cryptanalysis, and examine the availability of given differential values. We have evaluated three DES-like cryptosystems(DES,FEAL, Multi2). Recently, the modified DES-like cryptosystems have been proposed as an effective counterplot against differential cryptanalysis. The modified DES-like cryptosystems have involution structure which is variable by pre-defined parameters dynamically;we call this ′ dyna mic structure′.We have evaluated dynamic structure by the proposed evaluation method. As a result,we show that the structure is not necessarily strong than expected,as compared with original algorithm.
