Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a practical electronic cash system which is suitable for smart card implementation in both computation time and storage requirement In the proposed system,we introduce some trusted authority to make it possible to trace monetary transactions under a legal permission, for example to investigate against criminal or terrorist organizations and tax dodgers, and to make it simplify to manage the database of a bank, which is one of main problems in practical implementation of off line electronic payment systems. The proposed cash system possesses all the desirable properties, such as untraceability, trnsferabiliity and dividability, etc. In particular, dividability of electronic cash is more flexible and efficient in our system than in a previously proposed system.
