Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Assuming that a personal portable intelligent device with a built-in small fingerprint sensor is available,we propose the following protocol.Oil input fingerprints the device examines whether they are proper holders′ or not.If the fingerprints are ho lders′,the device proves the proper holder′s identity to an exter nal verifier by a certain cryptographic scheme. Thus,a proper holder of the device can prove his, her identity without revealing his/her fingerprints even to an unreliable verifier.A theoretical analysis followed by an implementation with an experimental apparatus shows that this protocol can achieve enough reliability, speed, and security.
