Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper examines cryptosystems that combine cryptographically strong pseudo-random number generators and block ciphers, and shows that the cryptosystems enhance security against known-plaintext attacks and chosen-plaintext attacks without decresing the speed of encryption. And it presents an evaluation for the hardware implementation adopting a generator based on the the quadratic residuosity assumption and DES cipher. The result demonstrates that adding a circuit of size with typically 5% of that for the DES cipher is sufficient to greatly improve security without loosing speed.
