Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this article, we consider a bit error probability of a communication system using chaotic time series. The communication system considered is an asynchronous code-division multiple-access(CDMA) system where real-value time series generated from a discrete-time chaotic system are used as spreading sequences. Its error probability is obtained by modeling the correlator output as Gaussian process. As an example, we examine the communication systems using the tent mapping. The validity of the some assumptions for the Gaussian approximation is evaluated. For a single-user system, synchronous CDMA system and asynchronous CDMA system, it is shown that the error probabilites are nearly equal to the simulation results when the length of spreading sequences is sufficiently long.
