Abstract(in English) This papcr proposcs and investigated a pread spcctrum (SS) system which can realize both ranging and communication between a vehicle and a roadside. In order to improve performance of ranging and communication, we propose schemes of cancelling mutual interference between a SS ranging signal and SS communication one. Computer simulations illustrate imploved performance of both ranging accuracy and data bit error rate.
