Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this article, we propose a novel blind algorithm for linear adaptive receivers in directsequence / code-division multiple-access (DS/CDMA) communications. The proposed algorithm requires the spreading sequence and timing of the desired user, but no training signal. The proposed algorithm maximizes the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio. The receiver using the proposed algorithm has the same error probability performance as the LMS based receiver has. In a mean sense, the proposed algorithm behaves as the LMS algorithm. A cost function is derived and the basic principle of the algorithm operation is discussed. Moreover, it is shown that a robust algorithm is useful when a timing estimation error exists.
