Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Future wireless communication networks will be required to evolve towards supporting a wider range of multimedia traffic. In this paper, we show QoS (Quality of Service) management using transmitted power control for future multimedia CDMA wireless systems. Particulary, we propose a distributed power control algorithm. The goal of distributed power control is to eliminate a complicated control process necessary in a optimal power control while minimizing total transmitted power as possible. We exploit the traffic correlation which exists in a consecutive slot, and predict the traffic of next slot statistically. Computer simulations suggest that the use of the distributed power control can be regarded as a viable solution for multimedia CDMA systems.
