Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | This paper shows a new compression method specializing in Japanese text data. In this method, sequences of characters, such as Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji, and others are registered into the static dictionary as words. These words are represented by sequences of bits using Huffman coding. The static dictionary has relationship of trade-off with compression ratio achieved. Thus the dictionary is also compressed. We will show that this method can archive as high compression ratio as other general purpose compression tools. |
