A Group Key Renewal Method Suitable for Mobile Telecommunications(II)

Abstract(in English) In SCIS'98, we have proposed a group key renewal method suitable for star-type networks, in which a trusted center can renew the group key except a revoked terminal in a minimum time. This method is useful on a large group because the transmitted data amount after identifying the revoked terminal, does not depend on a size of group. Our method uses a methematical technique that is used for common modulus attack against RSA public key cryptography. In this paper, we discuss how to extend this method as to revoke more than one terminal simultaneously.
