| Abstract(in English) | Papers presented at the title session on November 18 and 19 are reported. The number of papers was 30 consisting of 16 oral and 14 poster presentations. As for powder phosphors, much attention was paid on FED phosphors and on degradation in light emissive devices. For thin film EL phosphors, several new materials were proposed. In particular, BaAl2S4 : Eu-type thin film phosphors prepared by a two-targets pulse-electron-beam evaporation technique was shown to give an answer to a problem of lack of an efficient blue-emitting phosphor for full color EL devices. This type of phosphors has a wide variety in host chemical compositions and luminescence properties, and forms a new phosphor family practically applicable to EL devices. |
