Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Micro-groove substrate(MG)using a ruling engine was evaluated geometrically and optically. As the result, it was confirmed that the MG substrate had periodic structure. Uniform molecular alignment is observed partially. Precise control of the ruling engine promises uniform molecular alignment of LCDs.
