Abstract(in English) | The reflective color LCD based on a holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal(HPDLC) is one of the brightest types of LCDs. This is because it does not require the use of a polarizer or a color filter. To expand the viewing angle of HPDLC device, we developed a lens interference irradiation method. Single HPDLC devices with wide viewing angle (> 15°) were assembled on thin glass substrates (0.1mm thick) to depress the parallax. An RGB-stacked HPDLC device with 2-inch diagonal was assembled. The stacked HPDLC device had a reflectance ratio of 95% (BaSo4 : 100%), and contrast ratio of 53. |
