Abstract(in English) | At Institute of Free-Electron Laser, Osaka University, two projects on the light source are now under way. (1) An 100 MW Infrared FEL driven by an 180 MeV RF-linac: The wavelength ranges from 10 to 100 μm by changing the wiggler field. (2) γ-ray generation via Compton backscattering: Strong laser of 1.1 eV photon energy is scattered by an 180 MeV electron beam to generate the scattered photon of 500 keV. |
