Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In fractal image coding, quantization errors of IFS parameters corrupt reconstructed images seriously. Even if the quantization errors are minimized, high-quality reconstructed images are not necessarily obtained. Hence, in order to obtain them, high-accuracy quantization methods are required. Therefore, we propose a novel method to quantize the IFS parameters accurately using a GA and SA. The proposed method finds the best set of the quantized IFS parameters, and thus it reconstructs images with high-quality.
