| 抄録(和) | 文字画像を読みやすい, あるいは疲労の少ない最適な表示条件で, 自然画像を高品質な表示条件で, 同一画面に表示するマルティメディアディスプレイシステムを構築する目的で, 次の主観評価実験を行った.黒背景に白文字の文字画像とそれに自然画像を合成した画像に対して, 「読みやすさ」または疲労の少なさ「疲労感」について文字コントラストを測定した.文字画像のみの場合, 「読みやすさ」に関して, 文字コントラストは最適値82, 許容範囲45～(100), 「疲労感」に関して, 最適値53, 許容範囲30～80であった.合成画像の文字部について「読みやすさ」と「疲労感」の測定を行った結果, 文字のみの場合とほぼ同様な結果が得られた. |
| 抄録(英) | In order to make a multi-media display system on which character images displayed with optimum display conditions for good readability or for less-fatigue and natural images displayed with good picture quality, the following experiments were carried out. The character contrasts were measured for the images of bright characters with dark background and for mixed images of natural picture and character images on the bases of [readability] or [fatigues]. On the criterion of [readability] for character images, the optimum character contrast was 83, and the range of acceptable limit of character contrast was from 45 to 100(max). And on that of [fatigue], the former is 53, and the range of acceptable limit of character contrast was from 30 to 80. The character contrasts measured for the mixed images on the criterion of [readability] and [fatigue] were almost equal to those obtained for character images. |
