Abstract(in English) Toshiba has developed the new electron gun for M46 100° FLAT CDT (Color Display Tube) with high deflection sensitivity utilizing mini-neck (Φ22.5) system. In order to solve the disadvantage in it's focus characteristics, a new electron gun has been developed with a new main lens system. The new main lens system simultaneously reduces the lens magnification and emphasizes the astigmatism compensation in the periphery on the screen. As a result, we have achieved a higher resolution than before over the entire screen.
