Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Reflective LCD using conventional front scattering film, high brightness and high uniformity of brightness are incompatible due to its scattering property. In order to achieve scattering property of high and uniform intensity, we have tried to apply periodical structure due to spinodal decomposition. As the result of simulating scattering properties on reflector we have induced parameter conditions for uniform intensity. It is suggested that this film designed for cellular phones can improve brightness by about 10% keeping uniformity. It is confirmed that the films with the designed properties can be actually fabricated.
