Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Unfortunately, commercial LCD monitors have several defects on the display area. Therefore, factories should have repaired these defects before shipping to get good yield. We have studied species and numbers of actual display monitors by simulation technique in which we have generated artificial defects on a no-defect LCD monitor. On results, white pixel defects are most detectable and black one is less visible. And detection ability of people does not depend on defects location on the panel.
