Abstract(in English) Virtual reality provides fruitful benefit to learning and knowledge sharing. These include (1)interaction between human beings and computers through human five senses so that learners can intuitively understand abstract items, (2)observation of objects from individual learner's view points so that learners obtain their own personal experiences and discoveries.(3)This paper describes a new learning paradigm at a knowledge-based society, a novel learning environment employing virtual reality. It also describes a system configuration and functions of learning environment developed at NTT as a system example.
