Achromaticity of Reflective LCDs

Abstract(in English) Reflective color LCD in one of the most suitable devices for mobile use because of their low power consumption, compact size, light weight, and good legibility under the sunlight. However, the lighting environment has great influence on the picture quality. Recently, mobile use are colored and they are requested good achromaticity at white representation. But the picture characteristic is also independent on the lighting environment. In this paper we investigated the achromaticity which is requested to the color liquid crystal display by subjective evaluation in various illumination.
