Abstract(in English) | Carbon nanotubes and nanofibers are now attracting considerable interest as a new type of electron emitters for field emission displays (FEDs). In the 1st Inter. Display Manufacturing Conf. (IDMC2000), two sessions were devoted to nanotubes and their application to FED. Papers concerning synthesis of carbon nanotubes for FEDs, cathode fabrication, electron emission properties, nanotube based-FED elements and panel displays were presented there. In this article, they are briefly reviewed, and also given are the current state of nanotube studies in Korea. |
