Application and Human Factors Study on AMLCD

Abstract(in English) In this article, the AMLCD(Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays)performances are compared with CRTs's. A brief prospect about the application fields of AMLCD is given. Human factors were pointed out to be an important factor for designing and selecting display mediums. The status quo of human factors studies on AMLCD displays in the world are comprehensive reviewed. Some experiment studies by the authors are illustrated. A cockpit instrument board simulator is conducted. The simulator is con figured with a LCD monitor and a CRT monitor respectively. Eight students participated in the evaluation of the image quality. Finally, the experiment results and analysis are presented.
