Laser spectroscopy imaging of nano-particles formation process in laser ablation

Abstract(in English) We report imaging of behavior of silicon atoms and nano-particles ablated from a silicon target in laser ablation process by Two-Dimensional Laser Induced Fluorescence (2D-LIF) and Ultra-Violet Rayleigh Scattering (UV-RS) techniques. We have also proposed a new method to observe the clusters which could not be observed by above techniques. This involved Re-Decomposition of the clusters and Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF) measurements, and it is termed as ReD-LIF technique. By using this technique we could observe the temporal and spatial behavior of clusters during nano-particles formation process for first time.
