Abstract(in English) With the speread of mobile devices and consideration of environment, non-emissive or reflective displays reducing the power consumption have attracted attention. Their picture quality should be close to white paper and color printed matter. However, it is difficult to reproduce paper like white by the conventional reflective liquid crystal displays(LCD's). This is because light absorption by the polarizer or the dyes in the LCD's reduces their reflectivity. In this presentation, Actuated Film Display(AFD)which reproduce paper like white and full color will be proposed. Cyan, magenta and yellow films are mechanically actuated on white films by electrostatic force in this display, therefore picture quality can be close to the printed matter.
