Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes an experiment for effectiveness evaluation of our attractiveness evaluation model. This model is proposed based on our hypothesis about the human attention processes, i.e., the human visual system first performs the figure-ground segmentation, and then evaluates the level of attractiveness for figure regions when he / she pays attention to something. The evaluation parameters are heterogeneity of regions on color, texture, shape, and size, as well as their color, texture, and size. These parameters contributed remarkably to the attractiveness in our subjective experiments. In the experiment, the model could properly estimate the level of attractiveness for regions according to the evaluation results by human subjects.
