Abstract(in English) | There are meny method for halftoning, i.e., the dither method and the error diffusion method, etc. Recently, there has reported the halftoning image using genetic algorithm(GA), in order to search the halftone image that has superior picture quality. However, the computation time of this method is very long. Moreover, halftone image becomes an unnatural reproduction result at the boundary of the individuals, and the influence is exerted on the picture quality, because the size of string cannot be large. In this report, simulated annealing(SA)is applied to optimization of halftone image. As a result, the computation time is reduced and the superior halftone image obtained, compared with the case to using GA. |
