Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes image improvment for full-frame DCT image coding. Conventionally an image is divided into small blocks of pixels ; DCT is applied to each block. However, block distortion arises under a low bit rate. Block distortion is completely removed by using full-frame DCT, but quantization errors are spread over the entire image. Especially, we easily remark high-frequency noise in flat rgions. This paper poposes image improvement using adaptive post-filtering. |
