A Motion Picuture Quality Measurement System for Hold Type Displays

Abstract(in English) In order to evaluate the deterioration of motion picture quality in displays with hold type characteristics quantitatively, we have developed a newly time-based-emage integration measurement system. In this system, motion pictures on LCDs are taken by a CCD camera as time-based-images, and perceived images are reproduced by integration the time-based-images which are synchronized with motion picture velocity. This enables us to measure the brightness profile of perceived image.
