Abstract(in English) We have experimentally discussed operations of our proposed image-memory LCD by using an equivalent circuit model consisted of a ferroelectric device and a LC cell. We have demonstrated a gray-scale image, and have succeeded in holding the image for a long period. Also, we have theoretically studied the effect of bias on driving the image-memory LCD. We have found that the bias applied to the driving source makes the driving voltage lower, and especially when the output voltage to the LC layer is higher, this effect becomes more significant.
