| Abstract(in English) | Color LCDs are expected to expand their application territory to TV and Monitor. I order to obtain compatible characteristics to CRT, especially from the viewpoint of color reproduction, we tried to match the three primary colors of Color Filters to EBU Color Standards, which is a standard for CRT. We investigated the combinations and preparation methods of colorants and the emission spectra of the backlights. We found that only the specific combinations of Color filters and backlighs could give suitable characteristics, for example, the film thickness and the brightness. |
